Anki Flashcards
You can download the software (free) and then create and share "decks" of flashcards on or offline. Anki supports audio, images and video. To download, click here or on the image.

Linguistic Terminology
The terminology linguists use can be intimidating. It’s a specialized language. Wikipedia is a good avenue to learn about these terms. This link will take you to the general page for linguistics, but there are other page links to explore in the right hand column.

Audacity
This is a free audio recording software found online. It installs on your computer. It’s a very high-quality program, but I only use its simple features to generate good quality audio files for use in Anki, Prezi and other programs. Click here, or on the image, to download.
Soundcloud
An easy way to record and share language or music. Everything is housed online. You can register for free and have a limited, but sufficient amount of time/space. There are also paid packages that have more features such as increased amount of recording time.
Prezi
This is a presentation program with free and paid options. The presentations are hosted online, or if you have a paid version, you also can work offline with a desktop program. Prezi now supports audio, making it really useful for language work.
